Mellanox's LinkX MFS1S50-Hxxx active splitter optical cable for InfiniBand HDR is a cost-effective solution for high bandwidth fabrics, extending the benefits of Mellanox's high-performance InfiniBand adapters and switches.
This Mellanox QSFP28 to 2xQSFP28 cable is an assembly of 4 full-duplex lanes, where each lane is capable of transmitting data at rates up to 50Gb/s per direction, providing an aggregated rate of 200Gb/s. The MFS1S50 provides connectivity between systems using an HDR QSFP28 switch port on one end and two HDR100 HCA QSFP28 ports on the other. The MFS1S50 connects the data signals from each of 2 lanes on the single QSFP28 end to 2 lanes on each of the two QSFP28 ends on the HDR100 multiport side. Each QSFP28 cage comprises an EEPROM providing product information that can be read by the host system. Mellanox certified cables are 100% tested on Mellanox's equipment to ensure interoperability and the best end-to-end performance. Mellanox's active optical cables are designed to create the smallest environmental footprint.
